Local rules in Liguria
You don't need a permit to have your cat cremated, but what you do afterwards, burying them in the garden or scattering their ashes in a park, can be governed by local rules. Here's what applies in Liguria.

Ask whether the cremation is individuale (ashes returned) or collettiva. Rules on burying pets on private land are set regionally and locally, so check with your comune first.
What to do when your cat dies in Liguria
